BA Accounting and Business (NN41)

About BA Accounting and Business
UCAS code: NN41 (degree programme) READG R12 (University)
Duration: 4 years full-time including three paid work placements with PwC
In year one of BA Accounting and Business you will study alongside other Business School students at the University of Reading's Whiteknights campus - in keeping with the 'traditional' university experience. Academic modules will provide a grounding in fundamental aspects of accounting, business, ethics and law. Some of these modules will contribute to your professional accountancy qualification with the ICAEW.
In years two and three you will combine academic study at the University with paid professional work placements at PwC lasting between 12-16 weeks. The academic modules undertaken in these years will map closely onto the content covered in the ICAEW's 'professional stage' papers. You will commence your final year of study a little earlier than most other students, to provide space for a slightly longer work placement (of 16-20 weeks). The modules in this final year of the programme are designed to build on the professional and practical knowledge you will have acquired, and provide a critical academic perspective on contemporary issues and cases in accounting and business.
Please note that in addition to meeting the School's standard entry requirements shortlisted students applying for BA Accounting and Business will be asked to submit a supplementary application form and successful applicants will be invited to attend an assessment centre run in conjunction with PwC.
