Nick Holley biography for HR Conference in Dubai
Nick is the Director of Henley Business School’s Centre for HR Excellence where he has worked with the world’s most respected organizations to advance current thinking around HR. He has recently carried out research on employee engagement, HR and Big Data, HR careers, HR in the recession and recovery, HR leadership, HR organisational models, leadership development, talent management and what CEOs want from HR.
Nick gained extensive experience of working in the Middle East during his time in corporate life in the 1980’s when he provided investment advice to ADIA, AWG, NCB Jeddah, Saudi Cable Co and Xenel Industries. Since 2006 he has completed a number of developmental assignments in the region:
Ericsson – leadership programme in Dubai.
Government of Abu Dhabi – HR transformation programmes and master class in Abu Dhabi.
Government of Dubai – Mohammed bin Rashid Programme – leadership for promising leaders in Dubai.

Road Transport Authority, Dubai – people leadership programme for senior directors in Dubai.
Saudi Aramco – Coached the HRD and reports in Dhahran for two years.
Saudi Telecom – HR Strategy workshop in Riyadh for their HR leadership team.
He was voted the 5th most influential thinker in HR by Human Resource Magazine. Nick holds an M.A. from Cambridge University and an MBA from London Business School.
