The MSc in Coaching & Behavioural Change is a part-time programme that combines workshops with self-directed study. Workshops are delivered in-person at our Greenlands campus. Where face-to-face workshops are not possible due to COVID-19 restrictions, live-online delivery is facilitated.

Workshops include a mix of teaching, demonstrations by the tutors, practice sessions between participants, and coaching supervision in small learning groups. They are delivered by our highly experienced core teaching team and are supported by nationally and internationally respected external speakers.

During the Henley Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching, participants work in groups/pairs/trios, with a ratio of nine participants per tutor.

During the Neuroscience and Psychology for Behavioural Change workshops, and those throughout Stages 2 and 3, there may be up to 45 programme members. Small group activities then take place as an integral part of those sessions.

The programme is assessed through:

  • An ongoing learning log
  • Written assignments for each module - no exams!
  • Reflective written work, supported by feedback from peers and tutors on observed sessions
  • A 15,000 word research project on an applied, real-life coaching topic of your choice. Recent examples include performance anxiety in coaches, addressing resistance to change, and exploring successful mentoring relationships

The qualification is achieved in three stages, with successful completion of each stage required before you can progress to the next.
