Adapting Talent Approaches to the Modern World - the Knowing-Doing Gap

Two Expert Practitioners will challenge accepted talent and practices and examine key questions and answers in the "war for talent".

The outside world has changed fundamentally in recent years in relation to talent. Every conference and article sees us affirming that this is only going to continue in ways which we all agree will challenge us enormously – and yet many organisations' approaches to getting talent and extracting value from it don't seem to have changed much at all. Why is this? What is stopping us from applying remedies when we all acknowledge the illness? Is it perhaps because we don't like the sound of the medicine?

At this event, we will face up to the fundamental questions that changes in the talent market are REALLY posing about the way we work with the best people, and what it would take to answer them – no matter how inconvenient the truth might be. Via a combination of inputs, challenge and discussion – and a fascinating case study from Becky Ivers, Talent and Development Director, Heathrow Holdings Limited – participants will leave having courageously engaged with some questions that could radically impact the way in which talent is approached in their organisations.
