This year we are honoured that the opening address will be delivered by Paul Drechsler CBE, Chairman of the Bibby Group and President of the CBI. Before joining the Bibby Group in 2014, he was Chairman and Chief Executive of the privately-owned construction firm Wates Group from 2006 until 2014. Prior to joining Wates, he worked for ICI PLC, spending the first ten years of his career on Teesside. Paul has also been recognised for his outstanding leadership, winning KPMG Chief Executive of the Year for the construction industry and PwC ‘Private Company Chief Executive of the Year’. During his tenure at the helm, Wates Group won the Business in the Community Company of the Year and the J.P. Morgan Best UK Family Business Award.

Paul will be joined by a line-up of leading speakers addressing important issues that we all face. Eight breakout sessions during the day, each lasting 45 minutes, will cover topics such as accessing growth finance, leadership 4.0, accessing talent, innovation strategy, building high performance teams amongst others – all genuine learning opportunities, the subjects crowd sourced from your peer group.

By attending, you will make business connections amongst your peers, explore opportunities of mutual interest, find out how others are embracing innovation, share insights and good practices, learn from the speakers, find out how your peers have accessed funds for growth and many other relevant benefits.
