Taking place at the Olswang offices on High Holborn in London, our keynote speaker for the evening will be Fergus Boyd, Vice President of Digital and IT at Yotel.
Fergus will share his perspective on the technology changes that are affecting the strategy and business. He will give the story of Yotel, the changing hotel services and the challenges and opportunities from businesses like AirBnB. Fergus will also draw on his years of experience at Virgin Atlantic and British Airways. About the speaker:
Fergus is responsible for all digital strategy and services (web, mobile, social), IT innovation, and all back end and guest-facing technology including support of current hotel and strategic direction for IT in the cabins and shared spaces in our newer hotel.
Fergus is a serial digital entrepreneur and technology transformation agent and led award-winning IT, e-commerce and innovation initiatives in Virgin Atlantic and British Airways. He has set-up and managed high-performing teams covering in-flight entertainment, telecoms, web, mobile, live chat, innovation, agile IT development, analytics and social media. Fergus led part of BA's Product Development team who launched BA's first on-board Internet services, on-demand inflight entertainment services and flat beds in business class. He also created the first staff social collaboration initiative across the Virgin Group and also managed an open innovation initiative with UK Government agency NESTA to collaborate with Virgin Atlantic's customers to bring new services to market. Fergus was nominated as one of the top 100 UK CIOs for 2016.
