Coaching Webinar - Coaching on the Brain - Professor Patricia Riddell

In this webinar, Professor Riddell will share neuroscience research which helps us to better understand how we are motivated into action.

She will distinguish different aspects of the motivation required to form a plan and put this in to action with the aim of providing tools and insights that will help coaches be more effective in driving new behaviours in their clients.

The speaker -  Professor Riddell

Professor Patricia Riddell is a chartered psychologist who teaches and researches neuroscience at the University of Reading. She was awarded her BSc from the University of Glasgow, and an MSc from Imperial College, before receiving a doctorate in Physiological Sciences from Oxford University. Patricia teaches on the MSc in Coaching and Behavioural Change and the MA in Leadership to which she brings her knowledge of Applied Neuroscience. She also researches areas including learning and memory, motivation and leadership. Patricia co-authored “The Neuroscience of Leadership Coaching” published in 2016. This book uses case studies to demonstrate how a knowledge of neuroscience can increase both understanding of coaching and flexibility in the tools that coaches use.
