Presenter: Professor Matti Skoog - Head of Subject (Accounting) at Åbo Akademi University, Finland

Bio:

Professor Matti Skoog is head of subject (Accounting) at Åbo Akademi University, Finland. The oldest university in Finland and the 3rd oldest in historical Sweden, founded in 1640 and 1918. Matti's research is mostly orientated towards management accounting/control and performance measurement/management in both public and private organizations. At the moment he runs research projects linked to sustainability, smart cities and platform organizations, university performance measurement/management and the communicative aspects of management control/accounting. Abstract:

The seminar will focus on integration barriers and possibilities between external reporting and management control/accounting processes within public and private organizations. Concepts like performance ideals and supporting processes linked to organizational learning and development will be presented and discussed.
