Trinidad Graduation Celebrations and Alumni Afternoon Tea with Professor Adrian Bell

On Saturday October 8 2016, Henley Business School organised a Graduation Celebration for those MBA programme members who have graduated this past academic year, followed by an Alumni Afternoon Tea Party.
Professor Adrian Bell, Associate Dean (International) and Ann Marie Frank, Head of Programme Administration and Veronika Kovacs, Alumni Relations Manager International & Volunteering welcomed graduands, their friends and families as well as alumni for an afternoon of celebrations and networking.
During his speech to the fresh graduates, Professor Bell reflected on the 70 years history of Henley Business School and congratulated them for completing the MBA programme, which required significant commitment and hard work in terms of the thousands of hours spent reading, working in groups, preparing for exams, writing assignments and of course, the Management Challenge.
The guest speaker, Mr Conrad Enill (MBA 2000) who has enjoyed a long and distinguished career in both the private and public sectors in Trinidad and Tobago, including positions in the Ministry of Finance and Economy as well as holding the position of Minister of Energy and Energy Industries focused on the current challenges the country is facing and how the Henley alumni, equipped with all the knowledge and experience gained through their Henley Business School education can tackle those challenges and make an impact on the future of Trinidad's economy and policies.
After his speech, Professor Bell presented the degree certificates to the graduates and a special certificate was awarded to Miss Julia Joseph, who has been the Henley MBA Programme Manager in Trinidad since 2010, recognising her as an Honoured Friend of Henley Business School.
Ms Judith Mark, Chair of the Henley Alumni Association Trinidad and Tobago concluded the celebrations welcoming the newest alumni to the community, giving a passionate and inspiring speech about the importance of the network and the involvement of all alumni in the activities.
Around 50 alumni joined the Alumni Afternoon Tea following the graduation celebrations and a lot of forward looking discussions took place about the strategy of the alumni association. Many new connections were made between alumni, highlighting the importance and benefit of the local Henley community.
