Join Professor Andrew Kakabadse as he explains how boards and board directors can add value and gives you an insight into some of the topics covered on the programme, including:

  • Why tension in the boardroom is so damaging
  • If having more diverse boards makes a difference
  • The importance of corporate, social and community responsibility

You’ll also hear from programme alumni and understand how they learned what it takes to be a high-performing board director. This will be an interactive session where your questions and participation will be welcomed.

Discover what it takes to grow a world-class board, the challenges to overcome and the contribution and performance needed.

The Board Directors' Programme equips you with the knowledge and skills needed to become an effective board member.

Through confidential group discussion, questioning and sharing your challenges, you will get an in-depth understanding of what really goes on in the boardroom and how you can make the best contribution.

Referencing his own global research and hearing from high-profile board experts, sessions examine risk, morals and ethics, assessment of board performance and the invaluable role of the company secretary.

During the programme, you will discover how to navigate through sensitive and demanding board dilemmas to win the trust of investors, customers, the organisation and other stakeholders. The programme also explores how to use search consultants to secure a board position.

The programme is both in-person at Greenlands Campus and live-online; both delivery formats offer a personal approach including close interaction with the Programme Director. The live-online version, is delivered through a virtual one-to-one coaching session.
