House of Lords 2014
|Date of event:||24 October 2014|
|Event ends:||24 October 2014|
Henley Business School alumni are invited to join alumni from the University of Reading for a reception at the House of Lords, hosted by The Rt Hon The Lord Carrington, Chancellor Emeritus.
Over 300 alumni from Henley Business School and the University of Reading gathered at the House of Lords for a very special Drinks Reception in October 2014.
The weather proved very kind, allowing guests to venture onto the terrace and enjoy the fabulous view of London at night. With music provided by Formation, the University’s resident band, a well-received speech from the Vice-Chancellor, tours for all guests, as well as delicious canapés and plenty of wine, the event was a great opportunity for networking and socialising.
As Vice Chancellor Sir David Bell observed ‘The warm and positive atmosphere was palpable as our alumni – many joining us for the first time at the event – enjoyed meeting each other and colleagues from the University.’
Alan Oliver said ‘As alumni of Henley (MP27) there is a group of us that have managed to stay in touch. We've typically met for dinner near Christmas but this year the House of Lords event seemed a good opportunity, as well as an additional draw for some of us living far from London or overseas even! Food and wines were wonderful enhancing the ambience if the historic and unique surroundings.’
