Leadership – Challenges and Strategies – How to Develop Better Leaders for Today’s Complex Global World

Over the past thirty years, the leadership development industry has experienced extraordinary growth. However, only 7% of managers stated that their companies effectively develop global business leaders (Gitsham, 2009), begging the question: is more investment really equal to better leadership? Find out more in this webinar with Dr Jean-Anne Stewart.

Over the past thirty years, the leadership development industry has experienced extraordinary growth, with approximately $14 billion spent on it annually in the US alone (Gurdjian, 2014). However, only 7% of managers stated that their companies effectively develop global business leaders (Gitsham, 2009), begging the question: is more investment really equal to better leadership?

Against this background, a team of Leadership faculty at Henley Business School commenced a project to explore these issues within a variety of organisations. In the search for the ultimate design of an effective leadership development programme they explored complex global challenges involving organisational & political change, technology and multi-cultural, international and virtual teams.

In this webinar, Dr Jean-Anne Stewart, Programme Director for the MA Leadership programme, highlighted the projects findings and offered insights and strategies for developing leaders in your organisations.
