Leading Through Perpetual Change

Presented by Leadership of Organisational Change Special Interest Group in partnership with the Henley Centre for Leadership

Date: 17 October 2017
Time: 18:00
Venue: Greenlands Campus, Henley Business School, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, RG9 3AU

The scale and speed and ambiguity of business change is inexorably and exponentially increasing. In recent decades this was often a tech phenomenon. However, this type of change is spreading into all industries. And it’s now not just a case of opening our minds to constant changes of ways of working, its handling seismic shifts in ownership, manufacturing technologies, operating systems, routes to market, and consumer preferences, and doing so at unprecedented speed with no give in the level of performance expectation.

We are delighted to welcome John Titmuss, Chief Supply Chain Officer for Pladis, who will take us through a fascinating 'perpetual change journey' Which will include their learning from both the successes and challenges along the way. Pladis many might know is, amongst others, home to what was United Biscuits and its McVities, Ulker and Godiva brands. The story starts with the formation of United Biscuits in 1948 and moves right up to the present time, where they are part of Pladis, a new global snacking business with over 25,000 staff, focused on the McVities, Ulker and Godiva brands.

The evening will have a 'break-out' session, which, alongside your own questions will include an interview between John and Dr Bernd Vogel, who heads up the Henley Centre for Leadership.

The schedule for the evening will be as follows:

18:00 – Arrival, networking and light refreshments
19:00 – Keynote presentation followed by “break out” and interview with Dr Bernd Vogel
20:25 – Networking and light refreshments
21:00 – Event close

Tickets are priced at £25 for alumni, £30 for guests and £15 for current programme members, with tickets including drinks and light refreshments. Guests and non-alumni are very welcome.
