LOC SIG: Action Learning and Change - The Outcomes

Henley’s Leadership of Organisational Change SIG (LOC SIG) kicked off its new season of meetings with a very practical session around the theme of Action Learning and Change, offering attendees the chance to hear about recent success stories and outcomes from our panel of speakers.

The theme for the evening was introduced by Christine K. Champion – Founder – Acumen Executive Coaching Ltd. and a core member of the LOC SIG. This led into a panel discussion facilitated by Christine, where the panellists Liz Veasey, Talent & Development Manager at Yusen Logistics; John Holland, Head of Data & Analytics Architecture at The Home Office and Roger Barrett, from Hertfordshire County Council. discussed their own thoughs on successes and outcomes.

Action Learning is not a new theme for the Special Interest Group. However at this event the aim was to move attendees’ thinking beyond general principles into real time application and outcomes:. Going beyond its use as a “development” tool within the HR toolbox, into a leadership tool with the power to turn well-planned strategies into meaningful outcomes.

Following on from the event Christine has shared the ten key elements that the session brought out in order for internal Action Learning Sets to be successful, and can be viewed by downloading the pdf below.
