|Event ends:||8 October 2016|
The aim of the Henley MBA UK Open Day is to provide you with a flavour of the Henley MBA experience. Our October Preview Day will be at our Greenlands campus in the UK on Saturday 08 October 2016 from 08.30 to 15.00.
The day will include a taster lecture, Leading change – Show your true colours - with Dr. Stephen Simister. Throughout Henley’s MBA we encourage our programme members to constantly self-analyse and reflect on how and why they make decisions. Leading change is a significant challenge with about 70% of all change initiatives failing to meet their objectives. One reason for this high failure rate is that leaders tend to approach the change in the same rigid manner without considering the unique circumstances of the change or indeed the personality of the person leading the change.
During this taster lecture Stephen will explore how you can analyse a change situation and design an appropriate change mechanism. He will also help you explore your own preferences for leading change and identify your true colour as a change leader.
Stephen leads on Henley's Programme and Change Management offering at Henley Business School. He has over 25 years of project management experience having delivered and consulted on projects in construction, IT, Finance, Pharmaceutical, PFI/PPP and Oil and Gas. He has also led several major change initiatives within a number of organisations. He currently teaches on the Leadership and Change module on the MBA. His focus is how programme management can be utilised to lead and deliver effective change within organisations. Stephen sits on both ISO and BSI committees for programme and portfolio management and works with APM on their portfolio of standards and qualifications around project management. Stephen also supports Henley's Executive Education group and has provided tailored programmes for a number of organisations including Linklaters, Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Associated British Foods, Deutsche Telekom and the Clore foundation.
In addition to the lecture, you will have the opportunity to hear about Henley's MBA portfolio of programmes helping you decide which may be the best for you. You'll also hear from the Careers team and meet with some of Henley's MBA Alumni members and hear about their experience of the programme.
