Inspired by Andy Cope’s book “The Art of Being Brilliant”, this event provides an antidote to the crazy world that typifies modern Britain. The aim is to share some of the secrets of positive psychology, focusing on learning new habits of thinking and behaviour that will sustain your personal brilliance. Too many people are counting down to the weekend, accidentally wishing their life away. We figure there’s a huge different between ‘being alive’ and ‘living’- if you decide to go for it, you will flourish and your positivity ripples out into your workplace and family.
The aim therefore is to challenge current habits and ways of thinking, to re-energise and enthuse staff for the challenges that lie ahead.
By the end of the event you will have:
- been introduced to the principles of positive psychology
- learned how to stay upbeat and positive in an exhausting world
- have knowledge, skills, tips and wellbeing ‘hacks’ that are applicable at work and home
- experienced learning that will make a huge impact on your happiness and wellbeing
Who should attend?
This webinar is for anyone who wants to know the latest from positive psychology, flourishing, wellbeing and leadership. The lessons are grounded in research but delivered in a way that makes them accessible and do-able. The learning is applicable at work and home.
This events primary theme is LEADERSHIP and the secondary theme is CHANGE.
It is relevant to the development of Positivity, Happiness, Wellbeing, Leadership, Resilience, Change, Habits, Productivity, Engagement.
Dr Andy Cope
Dr Andy Cope is a qualified teacher, author and learning junkie. He is the UK’s first ‘Doctor of Happiness’ (yes, really!), having completed a PhD in Positive Psychology at Loughborough University. Andy is also a bestselling author; he writes the Brilliant range of self-help books for adults and teenagers, and also pens the successful children’s Spy Dog series for Puffin.
Andy has done numerous TV and radio appearances. He has also set up the hugely successful 2%ers Club, the UK’s first, foremost and... err... only society for happy people.
“This was absolutely the best presentation to close our Congress with. Andy’s delivery is priceless; he is truly one of the funniest people I have met and kept our international audience in stitches for 90 minutes. And yet amidst the humour, there was a plethora of pithy recommendations, challenging us to look at the way we view work, to live in the moment, and encouraging us to ‘choose to be positive’. Twitter went mad after his presentation, and never have so many people in so many countries put on their lucky pants the following Monday as a result!”Quote about Dr Andy Cope
