The annual Henley Business School Public Lecture will be delivered by Professor Andrew Kakabadse, Professor of Governance and Leadership, Henley Business School.
This public lecture will address how governance, strategy, boards and top teams work together to produce sustainable outstanding performance.
The research behind this was a global survey covering China, Europe, India, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and the UAE, the UK and the US. Less than 18% of the world’s companies came up with a way of realising sustainable value. In fact, most were value-destructive, and the pattern that emerged for this 18% was so strong that it looks like a formula: the success formula. The pattern did not have any bearing on religion, national culture or gender: it was down to the outstanding leadership of the CEO and chairman. This lecture will look into the nature of that outstanding leadership.
The research has been published as a book called The Success Formula; the presentation is based upon the book and how that 18% stood up above all others.
