Turning Up the Dial on Wellbeing with Professor Nick Kemsley

We’re focusing on what’s becoming one of the biggest problems of our generation.  But we need to change wellbeing from a soft and fluffy buzz-word to a hard issue we start to properly address. Work with the ever-pragmatic Nick Kemsley, as he draws on recent research and explains how to turn up the dial on your approach to wellbeing.

In a world where productivity pressures, continual change and 24/7 virtual availability increasingly define our relationship with the world of work; and where career models drive the need for a strong employer value proposition; the well-being of our employees has attained critical importance.

Yet many organisations have struggled to keep pace with this evolving need. Drawing on his recent research for the Henley Centre for HR Excellence, and with his characteristic pragmatism and practicality, Nick will unpick this complex topic to reveal the underlying journey that an organisation must go on in its approach to well-being.

He will describe the different phases of evolution, outlining the infrastructural, attitudinal and ethical challenges that mark each transition and ways in which organisations are dealing with them. Armed with this you will develop a better understanding of where your organisation sits and how to “turn the dial” on the well-being offer to your employees.
