A survey of the most influential works ever published in the domain of entrepreneurship has just been published by the leading journal Research Policy. Authors Landstrom, Harirchi and Astrom using a variety of metrics concluded that the University's Professor Mark Casson is one of the leading twenty scholars to have ever contributed to the field worldwide, and one of only two from outside the United States.
It is thirty years since Professor Casson's most cited contribution to the field was published, The Entrepreneur: An Economic Theory, and the Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship is holding a conference on December 15-16th to celebrate the occasion.
Conference organiser and Director of the Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship, Professor Andrew Godley, said 'This is a delightful acknowledgement of just how significant the influence of Mark Casson's research in entrepreneurship has been worldwide. This underpins all that we are trying to achieve in research, teaching and our ever widening involvement with local businesses in the Centre.'
