The inaugural Planning Futures lecture was held recently at the University of Reading and co-hosted by Real Estate & Planning and the RTPI South East Region. Dr Hugh Ellis (seen on the left) from the Town and Country Planning Association spoke of the need to think and plan strategically if we are to deal with the challenges of climate change, wider demographic shifts and the need for new infrastructure and other development. Dr Ellis entertained an audience of well over 100 attendees from across the South East Region and beyond, while simultaneously delivering a sobering account of missed opportunities and questionable decisions in the way that we are planning for the future.

We would like to that Barton Willmore for their generous sponsorship of this event.
