Henley Business School and Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) signed a cooperative memorandum on 29 March 2013. The memorandum was signed by Dr A Malgin, Vice Rector of MGIMO and Professor Y Kalyuzhnova, Vice Dean (International) from Henley Business School.

MGIMO is the diplomatic school of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. Founded in 1944, it is the oldest and most renowned school in Russia for preparing specialists in international relations and diplomacy. MGIMO provides training to 4,500 undergraduate students as well as graduate researchers. MGIMO offers a number of innovative programmes, designed to address the demanding environment of business through a financial and business perspective.

Henley and MGIMO are preparing a number of exciting initiatives, including: development of international academic cooperation and exchanges of both faculty and students; creation of the pre-MBA programme in MGIMO, to prepare candidates for their studies at Henley; exploring the possibility of double degree MBAs; and providing the opportunities for the students of MGIMO to attend modules at Henley.
