Professor Rajneesh Narula, of International Business and Strategy, has been invited to speak about FDI and African Development at a conference in Dakar, Senegal.
Professor Rajneesh Narula, of International Business and Strategy, has been invited to speak about FDI and African Development at a conference in Dakar, Senegal. The conference will be held on 25-26 November 2013 and is titled “Africa’s Quest for Sustained Growth: How to accelerate the pace”. The United Nations University Maastricht Economic and Social Research and training Institute on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT) and the Consortium pour la Recherche Economique et Sociale (CRES) are hosting the conference.
Throughout the conference, there will be opportunities to discuss how capacities should be reinforced and what strategies seem promising to address the challenge of sustained economic growth in Africa. Key research topics presented and discussed at the conference will be:
- Local development, regional integration and globalization
- Agriculture and structural transformation of African economies
- Human capital, population and migration
- Growth, equity and redistribution
- Sustainable employment and development
- Knowledge, innovation and development
