The Masters students on our Planning programmes and our MSc Real Estate have both recently returned from week long European study tours. Our Planning students visited Poland and were based in Wroclaw which has been designated the European Capital of Culture for 2016. They visited planning and regeneration projects, including 20th century garden neighbourhoods, inter-War period housing developments, the 1936 Olympic Stadium, the original 20th Wohnungs-und Werkraumausstellung (Workplace and House exhibition) - WuWa and WuWa2 (planned for 2016), an urban centre regeneration (RENOMA retail centre), and the Euro 2012 Stadium. Our Real Estate students travelled to Milan and went to the Porto Nova development and the UniCredit Tower. Their study tour also included a visit to the SEGRO Energy Park and the CityLife development. However, as you will see from the photos of both trips on Facebook, it wasn't all work!
