8 November 2013
Alumni Flora Ekundayo (MBA, graduated 2012) and Debo Fagbami (MBA, graduated 2008) have taken the initiative to get an alumni group started in Nigeria. With over 200 Henley alumni based in the country, the new group - Henley’s second Africa based alumni group - will play a key part in connecting the Henley alumni with each other and the Business School.
On Friday 8 November an enthusiastic group of Henley alumni met at Monty Buffet in Lagos to celebrate the formation of the new Henley Business School Alumni Group Nigeria.
The evening was spearheaded by Flora Ekundayo (MBA, graduated 2012) and Debo Fagbami (MBA, graduated 2008).
Flora said ‘we were all excited that the alumni group has kicked off and are keen to make a go of it. The priority now is to build up the membership, define what we are about and identify the activities that we will drive our group efforts towards.’
A new LinkedIn group, Henley Business School Alumni Group (Nigeria), has been set up to help alumni in Nigeria communicate with each other, keep up with the latest news and find out about Group activity.
Gudrun Kuhlmeier, Senior Alumni Relations Manager at Henley Business School said ‘Henley is extremely proud of its many international Alumni Groups, which play a key role in keeping alumni connected to each other and the Business School. The Alumni Relations team is delighted the first meeting of the Alumni Group in Nigeria was successful and that there is real drive to develop an active group.’
