Dr Claudia Murray at the V Housing Forum in Colombia
Dr Claudia Murray, Research Fellow in the School of Real Estate & Planning, was at the V Housing Forum organised by the Banking Association of Colombia last week.

 

Dr Claudia Murray was at the V Housing Forum organised by the Banking Association of Colombia last week. This was a one day event that gathered speakers to discuss finance, construction and quality of social housing in Colombia. The Forum started after an initial presentation from the current President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos and the current president of the Banking Association, Maria Mercedes Cuellar. Claudia was invited to talk about social housing building quality and to share past experiences and design typologies of the Modernist Movement in the UK.

Claudia is pictured here with, to her left, Arch. Ricardo Daza from Architecture for Humanity and to her right Prof. Javier Peinado Ponton from Javeriana University in Bogota. All three will be meeting again with a larger delegation of academics from REP during the research seminars to be held in Bogota from 2nd to 4th April this year.
