IPSUM students return from work placements in India and Sri Lanka

Students on Real Estate & Planning's MSc International Planning and Sustainable Urban Management have just returned from their work placements in India and Sri Lanka.
Real Estate & Planning's MSc International Planning and Sustainable Urban Management (IPSUM) students have returned from their three-week work placements in India and Sri Lanka. The work placement module is an integral and compulsory part of the IPSUM programme and as such is an unique component of the programme. It is fully funded and is a popular key attraction amongst students.
This year students did their work placements in the National Building Research Organization; National Physical Planning Department; UNHABITAT (Colombo); and the Metro Colombo Urban Development Project in Sri Lanka. The placement programme is run in collaboration with the University of Moratuwa, Sri lanka. In India the placements were at the Institute of Land and Disaster Management; Land Bank; Town and Country Planning Department; and the Agency for Non-Conventional Energy and Rural technology in Kerala, India. The placement programme is run in collaboration with the Institute of Management in Government, Kerala, India.
