Outdoor #10: an artwork in progress by Erik Peitersen

The grounds at the Greenland campus at Henley are home to one of the several Outdoor paintings by Erik Peitersen, whose main ambition is to explore the meeting that occurs when art is taken out of the familiar surroundings of the art institution and put into play in the dialogue between artist, painting, location and audience.

The grounds at the Greenland campus at Henley are home to one of the several Outdoor paintings by Erik Peitersen.

Erik's main ambition in this project is to explore the meeting that occurs when art is taken out of the familiar surroundings of the art institution and put into play in the dialogue between the artist, the painting, he location and the audience, which both follows and is part of the creative process.

The aims of the Outdoor project are:

  • Creating cultural meetings
  • Bringing the painting into the landscape instead of the opposite
  • Revitalising the landscape painting in a contemporary perspective
  • Demystifying art and visualizing the process
