Pathways to Property 2014
28 July 2014
Real Estate & Planning’s Pathways to Property Summer School took place last week with almost 100 students from year 12 attending the 4 day event.
Building on the fantastic experience of last year’s inaugural event, this year's Pathways to Property Summer School involved nearly 100 participants who enjoyed four very busy days. The students were engaged and enthusiastic and really threw themselves into the experience. The Summer School included project work, trips to Green Park and The Oracle and a visit to Windsor Great Park with a rather special tea! On the final day the students presented their project work and there were some lively debates on a controversial housing development. Their work showed a real passion as well as an amazing amount of work done in 3 days. For more photos of the event see our Facebook page.
Pathways to Property is run by the Reading Real Estate Foundation and aims to raise the profile of property to academically able students in Year 12 (aged 16-18) from non-traditional backgrounds. The project is funded by British Land, The Sutton Trust, RREF and a number of real estate firms.
