Professor Michael Ball featured on BBC South Today

Real Estate & Planning's Professor of Urban and Property Economics - Michael Ball - was interviewed on South Today about house building in the region.

Michael Ball - Professor of Urban and Property Economics in the School of Real Estate & Planning - was interviewed by the BBC earlier this week for the news programme South Today. Michael spoke about the potential impact of house building in the Thames Valley with particular reference to the development around Newbury Racecourse. Around 1500 homes will be built in this area over an anticipated 10 year timespan following an agreement, between The Racecourse Newbury and David Wilson Homes. The interviewer on South Today mentioned a report produced by Michael “The Labour Needs of Extra Housing Output: Can the House Building Industry Cope?” which can be accessed via the House Builders’ Federation website.
