On 18 March, Dr Liz Houldsworth led the second of a series of Henley Business School alumni webinars, sharing the initial findings of her research into the career impact of the MBA.

Dr Houldsworth explored why respondents had chosen to do an MBA, their personal development during the course and eventual career outcomes. Some of main research findings so far show that respondents experienced high levels of increased career capital (improved self-confidence, increased external marketability and organisational support), are in more senior roles and report high levels of career satisfaction.

Analysis is still ongoing, and the next stage of the research will involve a series of interviews focused on the development of career capital, gender differences and regional experiences. If you would be interested in participating, Dr Liz Houldsworth would be delighted to hear from you.

The webinar was the second in a series of four, planned to take place between January and July 2014. It was recorded for ‘on-demand’ viewing - view it online.
