Winning at Customer Development Workshop highly recommended by SMEs

Highly recommended was the verdict of SMEs who attended the ‘Winning at Customer Development’ Workshop delivered by the Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship in partnership with the Thames Valley Berkshire Business Growth Hub and Santander Bank on 16 December 2014

Supported and sponsored by the Thames Valley Berkshire Business Growth Hub and Santander, the Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship delivered the ‘Winning at Customer Development’ Workshop at the Reading Business Centre on 16 December 2014.

The workshop, which ran for the full day brought together a wide range of SMEs to raise their understanding of selling, provide techniques of ‘how to sell’ and explain the selling process from prospecting to pitching to overcoming objections and closing a sale.

The workshop included a range of practical exercises delivered by Jurek Sikorski, Entrepreneur and Business Development Lead and Stuart Morris, Entrepreneur and Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at the Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship, Henley Business School.

The workshop, which was oversubscribed, is to be repeated on 13 April and 18 June 2015.

The Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship will also be hosting the two further Speakers’ Panels - ‘Boosting Business Performance with a Knowledge Transfer partnership’ on 16 February 2015 and ‘Successfully Hiring and Developing Staff’ on 25 March 2015.

The UoR is committed to working with the SME community in the Thames Valley Region for mutual benefit.
