Dr Angelique Chettiparamb to attend a workshop in New Dehli

Dr Angelique Chettiparamb has received sponsorship to attend a workshop in New Delhi on ‘Cultural Heritage and Rapid Urbanisation in India’ from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the Indian Council of Historical research (ICHR) with additional support from the British Library.

Dr Angelique Chettiparam, Director of Studies for Real Estate & Planning and Programme Director for our MSc International Planning and Sustainable Urban Management (IPSUM)  will be attending a workshop in New Delhi on ‘Cultural Heritage and Rapid Urbanisation in India’. Her visit is sponsored by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the Indian Council of Historical research (ICHR) with additional support from the British Library. It is funded from the Newton Fund, which is a 5 year programme that aims to develop research and innovation partnerships that promote economic development and welfare of developing countries. Angelique is one amongst 21 experts from the UK short listed by AHRC to contribute to this workshop. The workshop will debate issues around the positioning and preservation of India’s rich cultural history within the context of an emerging urban landscape and will take place from the 2nd - 4th of March.
