Henley Business School at the University of Reading held the Fifth Reading-UNCTAD International Business Conference on 13-14 June 2015.

“Contemporary issues in international business theory” and Rugman Memorial

Henley Business School at the University of Reading was delighted to host the Fifth Reading-UNCTAD International Business Conference, organised in collaboration with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).  The 2015 conference was the second in the series that was jointly organised with UNCTAD. 

The conference, which was traditionally held in April, was  moved to June in memory of Alan Rugman. A plenary session, commemorating and extending Alan's work by prominent scholars was organized on the first day:

Opening plenary: Strategy and IB: Alan Rugman and His Contribution to IB Research.

 The best paper prize in honour of Simon Booth was awarded to Caterina Moschieri & Daniel Blake for the paper entitled:

The best Young Scholar paper prize in honour of Simon Booth was awarded to Jongmin Lee for the paper entitled:

“Managing multiple embeddedness and expatriate deployment strategy: A multilevel investigation of Korean MNEs”
