Keith Checkley awarded for contributions to financial services sector

Keith Checkley, ICMA Centre's Executive Education programme director and trainer, has been made an Honorary Fellow of the Bahamas Institute of Financial Services in recognition of his contributions to the financial services sector.

Keith Checkley, ICMA Centre's Executive Education programme director and trainer, has been made an Honorary Fellow of the Bahamas Institute of Financial Services in recognition of his contributions to the financial services sector.

When Keith first visited the institute over 20 years ago, it focused primarily on local certificate programmes relevant to Bahamas, with no executive level seminars, workshops or courses. With the support John Board, Dean of Henley, Keith helped them create more senior level programmes and supported the institute with building an accreditation link with the Chartered Banker Institute and Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).

Keith comments:

"They’ve seen a huge transformation, from a very local Bahamian context, well equipped for what they do in their jurisdiction, into an international one with accreditation from world renowned institutes. It has been a great experience working alongside the Bahamas Institute of Financial Services, and I am honoured to have received this award."
