David C. Lane, Professor of Business Informatics at Henley Business School, was an external examiner at the public defence of a PhD thesis in the field of System Dynamics Modelling at Nijmegen School of Management.
David C. Lane FORS, Professor of Business Informatics at Henley Business School, was an external examining member of the panel which conducted a viva voce examination in March at Nijmegen School of Management, Radboud University, The Netherlands. The successful thesis by Philipp Wunderlich was located in the field of System Dynamics Modelling and entitled ‘Innovation Diffusion within Organizations – Word of mouth and the effectiveness of intra-organizational innovation implementation’.
Following the custom in The Netherlands, the examination took the form of a public defence in which Mr Wunderlich made a brief presentation of the contents of his thesis and then answered questions from a panel of examiners. After retiring to discuss the work, the examiners returned to announce their decision - and to offer congratulations to the successful candidate.
The photograph shows, at the front, Prof Vennix (Nijmegen School of Management) and Dr Wunderlich, and behind them some of the examining panel members: Dr Größler (Nijmegen School of Management), Prof van Deemen (Nijmegen School of Management), Prof Milling (Universität Mannheim), Prof Lane (Henley Business School), Prof Lauche (Nijmegen School of Management) and Prof Rouwette (Nijmegen School of Management).
