Congratulations to Oliver Hunt and Amroy Lal, pictured here with Ashley Dabson. These two Real Estate & Planning undergraduate students came second in the University-wide IdeaFest competition. Their prize-winning idea was GradSpace, a unique ‘group-generation’ online property rental market place aimed specifically at the graduate and student market. The IdeaFest competition is organised by the Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship (HCfE) and sponsored by Pitmans, an award winning regional law firm that has a strong record of supporting the entrepreneur.

Amroy and Oliver's idea grew out of a concept that the students developed for REP's Dragons' Den event in which students produce a proposal for a product or service that has a direct relationship to the real estate sector.

Amroy and Oliver commented “Ideafest has truly been a fantastic experience and really helped us to explore our ideas and build on our concept. We have had the opportunity to refine our research and ensure we have a strong grasp of our target market, financial projections and competitive advantages. The feedback was invaluable and we have made some great connections.
