Henley Business School/Centre for intelligent Places contributes to APPG Smart Cities debate

Centre for intelligent Places presents at the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Smart Cities event. Prof Ginny Gibson, Deputy Dean of Henley Business School presented on a panel of experts to address the issue of "How do we scale up? A debate on how the Internet of Things can spread its wings" on the 6th of July 2016. The debate was chaired by MarK Prisk MP. Other panel members included Jen Hawes-Hewitt (Director of Global Cities Strategy, Accenture), Mark Pearson (Director of Business Growth, Surrey County Council) and Jonny Voon (Lead Technologist in IoT and Cyber Security, Innovate UK).

A lively debate was enjoyed by various industry and public sector stakeholders discussing issues around the scaling up Internet of Things investigating some of the current barriers being experienced by industry, academia and the public sector including citizens.
