Eamonn D'Arcy recently represented Henley Business Schoool at the 8th Annual Conference of the Global Chinese Real Estate Congress in Hangzhou China. The historic city of Hangzhou will play host to the G20 Summit in September. The conference held at the Sheraton Hangzhou Wetlands Resort attracted 950 participants, 371 papers and 7 panels.
The Nobel Laureate in Economics Robert C. Merton delivered a keynote address on the topic of ‘The Global Challenge of Funding Retirement’. Éamonn D’Arcy, Programme Area Director for Postgraduate Programmes in Real Estate and Planning, represented Henley at the conference. Henley was one of only two international sponsors and the dedicated sponsor of the peak refreshment break between the keynote speeches on the first morning of the conference. The exposure gained was useful in raising the profile of Henley with the leading Real Estate and Finance Schools in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. A number of inquiries were made by participants about postgraduate programme in real estate and finance.
