Henley Business School relaunches the Alumni Mentoring Programme

Henley Business School’s Alumni Relations and Careers teams are happy to announce the launch of a revised and revitalised Alumni Mentoring Programme.

Henley Business School’s Alumni Relations and Careers teams are happy to announce the launch of a revised and revitalised Alumni Mentoring Programme.

Through this powerful personal development and empowerment tool, current students will benefit from experienced alumni sharing their professional experiences, helping them to progress in their career. In this, its first year, we are pairing current Full-time MBA students with knowledgeable and experienced alumni in the industry, sector and/or geographic area sought by the student.

The programme is designed to last around twelve months, starting in the second stage of the student’s studies. This will take the mentoring relationship beyond graduation and allow mentors to help their mentees through the important first couple of month of their new careers.

Although in its initial year the mentoring programme targets a relatively small number of students and alumni, our ambition is to increase the number of mentoring partnerships offered and undertaken across the Business School year on year, with the aim of eventually offering an alumni mentor for each enrolled degree student.

A mentoring programme’s success is largely dependent on the enthusiasm and engagement of the alumni community. Our programme is no exception and we would like to take this opportunity to thank the large number of alumni who have signed up for this year’s programme, volunteering their time and expertise so generously. This will give us the opportunity to make the best match possible between mentors and mentees.

Not all alumni who volunteered to become a mentor this year will be matched, but will still be kept in our database so that they can be assigned a mentee next year.

If you would like to know more about the programme, including how you can get involved next year, please contact Veronika Kovacs, Alumni Relations Manager, International and Volunteering.
