New Alumni Relations Manager helps extend global reach of our alumni community
5 February 2016
Meet our new colleague Veronika Kovacs and learn about the work she is doing to deepen and extend our global alumni network
With the addition of a new post within the Henley Alumni Relations Team focussed on our global alumni community, our international network continues to strengthen.
Veronika Kovacs joined the Henley Alumni Relations team in October 2015 as Alumni Relations Manager, International and Volunteering. She brings with her many years of experience of working for international business schools and with international alumni. Veronika’s focus is revitalising Henley’s existing international alumni groups and associations, as well as developing and implementing a new volunteer programme for alumni.
With the goal of revitalising already established groups and associations as well as forming new ones, the last few months have seen several smaller and larger scale events across the globe – in Trinidad and Tobago, South Korea, Ghana, South Africa and India. As a result, new groups are forming in Ghana, South Africa and India with the help of enthusiastic international volunteers. Future events are planned in Dubai, Shanghai, Beijing, Toronto and Sydney, and we hope to launch new groups in China. If you are interested in volunteering opportunities in your country, please contact Veronika.
The second focus of Veronika’s work – volunteering – will see the launch of a new overarching Henley Alumni Volunteering programme. The programme is very close to the implementation phase and will be shared with alumni shortly. As part of the volunteering programme we are re-launching the Henley mentoring programme in the first quarter of 2016, starting with the full time MBAs. If you are interested in becoming a mentor or would like to receive further information about mentoring, please drop us an email. Please note that 2016 will be the pilot year for the programme so we cannot guarantee a mentee for all alumni applying to become mentors.
