Thursday 25 February marked the official opening of the University of Reading Malaysia campus and Henley Business School. More than 400 guests, staff and students attended the ceremony in the state-of-the-art purpose-built campus at EduCity, Iskandar.

The campus was opened by the British High Commissioner to Malaysia, Her Excellency Vicki Treadell, in the presence of the University’s Vice Chancellor and Chancellor, Sir David Bell and Sir John Madejski, and Henley colleagues.

To mark the occasion, honorary degrees were awarded to Vicki Treadell and Ong See Lian, the first non-British President of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and a University alumnus. Chris Pang, a Henley BSc Real Estate student, was also selected to represent the student body.

Henley already has nearly 80 students studying at its Malaysia base, on the BSc Real Estate, Finance & Business Management and MBA, and is looking forward to welcoming more students to the campus.
