Real Estate and Planning students receive the Chancellors Award
12 December 2016
Congratulations to Real Estate & Planning undergraduate students who have received the Chancellor's Award 2014
We send our congratulations to two Real Estate & Planning undergraduate students who have received the Chancellor's Award 2016. Sophie Dracup and William Lewington received their awards at a special reception hosted by the University's Chancellor Sir John Madejski and Vice-Chancellor Sir David Bell.
The Chancellor's Award is the most prestigious student award scheme at the University of Reading and recognises the very best and highest academically achieving students from across the University.
Sophie, who was also a recipient of the award last year, was asked about the highlight of her academic year 2015/16, she replied "Securing the internships I most wanted, partly due to the excellent careers advice on the Real Estate programme and partly due to the Reading Real Estate Foundation’s support in obtaining an internship last summer, which gave me crucial experience to talk about in interviews. Following my internships, I have fortunately secured a graduate position that will take some of the pressure off my final year!
William was asked to sum up his experience of Reading in three words and chose "Opportunity, enjoyment, development".
