Henley Business School at the University of Reading and the University of Sydney Business School exchange scheme
Henley Business School at the University of Reading is delighted to announce an exchange programme with a leading Business School at the University of Sydney.
At Henley Business School we are proud of giving our students opportunities to gain international experience as part of academic partnerships and exchange programmes established between us and other academic institutions in the world.
Students who will enrol on the MSc in International Business and MSc in International Business and Finance from 2016/17 will be able to take advantage of the student exchange programme established between Henley Business School and the University of Sydney and spend 12 weeks in Australia in the summer term, gaining valuable study and work placement experience.
To participate in the study abroad and placement opportunity in Sydney, students enrolled on the qualifying degree programme will be selected by way of competition organised in conjunction with the Henley Business School Careers. Selected students will engage in a real life mini-consulting project and will work in small groups on the project brief provided by participating companies in Australia and designed in consultation with academic staff at the University of Sydney.
In turn, students from the University of Sydney will have the opportunity to study at the International Business and Strategy unit at Henley Business School, where for over 40 years we have stood at the forefront of teaching and research in the field of International Busines. We believe this valuable exchange opportunity will enable our students to incorporate an independent study abroad experience into their degree and open up an array of possibilities such as career networking opportunities and gaining valuable cultural insights.
The Dean of Henley Business School, Professor John Board commented: “The University of Sydney Business School by leveraging our external partnerships and alumni community has produced some of the best business students in Australia. I am delighted to embark on this joint venture with them”.
The University of Sydney Business School Dean, Professor Gregory Whitwell commented: “Henley Business School is where International Business as a discipline was established. This new link enables students of International Business to visit the UK and to learn from scholars who continue to help define the research agenda in this crucial field.”
