Henley Centre for Leadership Hosts 'Leading Through Perpetual Change' Event

On 17 October 2017, Henley Centre for Leadership led an evening event in collaboration for the first time with Henley's Leadership of Change Special Interest Group.

The event, hosted at Henley Business School’s Greenlands Campus and titled ‘Leading Through Perpetual Change’, featured John Titmuss, Chief Supply Chain Officer of Pladis, as its guest speaker to an audience of 50 people. John introduced the assembled audience to Pladis, a new global snacking business with over 25,000 staff and registered brands such as Ulker and McVities. John shared insights from a fascinating “perpetual change journey” and talked about what he had learned from both the successes and challenges of the transformations inside United Biscuits and Pladis.

The audience discussed implications for their context in smaller groups and Dr Bernd Vogel, Director HCL, opened the Q&A by interviewing John. The evening touched on leadership of change with regard to its scale and speed, along with the role of technology, but also focused on shifts in ownership and the implications of transformed manufacturing while increasing performance at the core of all change ambition.
