Meet Jean-Pierre Choulet - the new Director of Development, Alumni Relations and Engagement

Jean-Pierre Choulet has recently started in the post of Director of Development, Alumni Relations and External Engagement here at Henley Business School and is looking forward to working with Henley’s impressive Alumni network and its world leading faculty.

Jean-Pierre Choulet has recently started in the post of Director of Development, Alumni Relations and External Engagement here at Henley Business School and is looking forward to working with Henley’s impressive Alumni network and its world leading faculty.

Prior to taking up his current position at Henley Business School, Jean-Pierre graduated with an MSc in Engineering from the Ecole Centrale de Lille. He then spent several years working as a research engineer, with a specific focus on Atmospheric Biophysics and Chemistry for the Centre National de la Reserche Scientifique (CNRS) and Le Commissariat à L’Énergie Atomique et aux Énergies Alternatives (CEA). Whilst working for the CNRS and CEA. Jean-Pierre undertook an extended research trip to the Sub-Antarctic Islands where he led on a project to establish and initially run an atmospheric carbon dioxide laboratory. In 1996, after a short stint working in the food production industry, Jean-Pierre took up the position of Director of the MediaLab at ESSEC Business School.

Throughout his time at ESSEC Business School (1996-2016) Jean-Pierre held several key management positions including; Vice President for Information Technologies and Chief Information Officer, and Vice President for University Relations, Alumni Affairs and Development and lastly the position of Vice President of Strategy and Development. In this last role Jean-Pierre was responsible for a large range of key projects such as; the Rankings and Accreditations, Domestic and International Student Recruitment, Individual and Corporate fund raising, as well as Alumni relations and development.

Alongside his direct responsibilities as the Vice President of Strategy and Development, Jean-Pierre sat on several key ESSEC Business School boards including the Executive Committee, ESSEC Foundation Executive Committee and the ESSEC Alumni Board.
