Henley Business School’s Accounting and Management programme and its Finance and Investment courses have been rated particularly highly in this year’s national survey of undergraduate students (NSS), which gathers students' opinions on the quality of their courses.

The annual NSS survey found that Henley’s recent graduates gave our Accounting and Management courses an overall satisfaction score of 93%. Our Finance and Investment Banking courses were similarly well received with an 89% overall satisfaction rating.

The IMCA Centre at Henley Business School, which has a global reputation for its excellence in undergraduate finance, has continued to perform well with an overall satisfaction level of 89%.

The survey asked students for their opinions on the quality of their learning experience including course teaching, academic support and learning resources. Henley’s undergraduate programmes scored particularly strongly for learning resources across all subject areas, averaging 84% satisfaction.

Dr Carol Padgett, head of Undergraduate programmes commented: “We welcome this feedback from our most recent graduating class. It supports our view that we must maintain and improve the learning resources which are so valued by our students. It also shows us the importance of building a strong learning community and we are starting early with our new students who will soon be invited to join the University’s Study Smart online course designed to prepare them for the exciting challenges which lie ahead.”

The NSS is an important measure of student satisfaction. It is carried out annually by Ipsos MORI; it contributes to other independent league tables; and it has built a broader picture of the quality of higher education since it started in 2005.
