Graduation success for Malaysia students

Congratulations to our Henley Malaysia graduates

Students from Henley Business School at the University of Reading Malaysia celebrated their success over the weekend during a graduation ceremony held at the Thistle Hotel in Johor Bahru and presided over by Sir David Bell, Vice Chancellor of the University of Reading.

Graduates this year included the first cohort of students to complete the Henley BSc Real Estate degree and the second cohort of the BSc Finance and Business Management degree. A number of Henley students also received Educity Awards and other industry sponsored prizes for their hard work and achievements.

Alongside celebrating the success of students, Sir David Bell presented Tan Sri Datin Paduka Siti Sa’diah Sheikh Bakir, a Henley MBA Alumnus and ex-CEO of KPJ Healthcare Berhad, with an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Letters. As well as being a prominent figure in the private healthcare sector, Tan Sri Siti Sa’diah is a champion of women in leadership and a strong role model for current and future business professionals.

Professor Susan Rose, Director of Teaching & Learning at Henley Business School, comments:

“Congratulations to all our students; their hard work and determination has provided them with a strong grounding to become successful leaders and practitioners and we wish them well in their future careers. We were also delighted to award Tan Sri Siti Sa’diah an honorary degree in acknowledgement of her success as a leader and contributions she has made to Henley and the University; she is an outstanding leader in the private healthcare sector and a valuable supporter of the Business School.”

On being awarded the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Letters, Tan Sri Siti Sa’diah, adds:

“I am deeply honoured to receive this Honorary Doctorate Degree. This recognition is hoped to be exemplary and inspirational to graduands and corporate players, especially women, to pursue their career to the highest level and always give their best in their endeavours. The sky is the limit.”
