Henley Business School as Main Partner for Huawei at WorldSkills UK

The Launch Ceremony

On the 16th November, Business Informatics, Systems and Accounting (BISA) was invited by Huawei as part of their Worldskills program to attend WorldSkills UK LIVE at the NEC in Birmingham. This was a celebration of Huawei’s achievements in ICT talent cultivation, helped in no small part by our very own Huawei ICT Academy (former known as HAINA) which has become the ‘most successful Huawei ICT Academy in Western Europe to date’. This ceremony was attended by 14 other ICT academies across the Higher Education sector. For more information please visit Huawei’s news-site.

Keiichi Nakata, the Head of BISA presented a fantastic speech on behalf of Henley and the University as a whole. He emphasised the industrial insights of Huawei in ICT development and cutting-edge technology which enables the success of our students in the digital economy.

This event presents the continuous commitment of supporting the education sector in the UK. In particular, the industrial and professional support in ICT section in higher education field. As a part of Huawei’s “Platform + Eco-system Strategy”, the Huawei ICT Academies programme commits to promote and support digitalization through a solid foundation of an open, sharing and sustainable eco-system.
