Real Estate Students Raise Awareness of Youth Homelessness
On Thursday 6 June, MSc Real Estate students gathered together to sleep outside the Business School in support of LandAid, a charity which provides safe, suitable and affordable accommodation for young people facing homelessness.

Over the course of the year the MSc Student Committee has initiated and organised a variety of fundraising events, including a netball tournament, bingo evening and a cake sale. Along with the SleepOut, the total amount raised was £3,000 (including corporate sponsorship) and the committee also arranged the distribution of £2,000 worth of new sleeping bags to local charities, through the generous sponsorship of ISG.
The students were supported by corporate sponsors Xpress Comms, who provided banners and food; Toby Speke, the founder of Hanning Recruitment, in the lead up to Real SleepOut and speaking on the evening; ISG, who provided sleeping bags and fencing for the event; and Barberry Group, with a generous donation which has enabled the students to exceed their fundraising objectives.
