Hammed Afolabi is a BISA PhD student currently working on: "The Adoption of Integrated Reporting in Developed Economy: Evidence from Listed Companies in the London Stock Exchange (LSE)"

Hammed is a renowned certified fraud examiner, vibrant, energetic, committed and highly motivated in discovering the intricacies that surround the contemporary accounting and auditing arena. Prior to his current PhD adventure, he worked as a financial auditor in a well established firm that provides audit and tax services to its clients in Nigeria. However, over the years, he has been actively involved in academic and extra-curricular activities due to his passion for teaching and impacting others, which resonated during his undergraduate days and postgraduate programe as he performed the roles of student tutor and student mentor in the academic support unit of the universities respectively. Hammed’s research interests are around the controversial issues pertinent to corporate governance, particularly integrated reporting, Global Reporting Intiatives (GRI), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Fraud and Forensic Audit. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a reputable university in Nigeria, and Masters Degree in Forensic Audit and Accounting from the University of South Wales, Cardiff, UK.
